


Selection Criteria
Apart from being passionate and dedicated to providing quality services, there are several requirements for becoming an Educator, including:
- A minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services, as well as certification in First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis.
- Understanding and willingness to work under the Education and Care Services National Regulation 2017 and the Children’s Act.
- Ability to provide a safe and hygienic environment suitable for the care of children aged 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and training, as well as the National Quality Framework.
- Adherence to all the important Family Day Care policies.
- Ability to develop trusting relationships with children and parents, work independently or as part of a team, and handle emergencies and unexpected events.
- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Current police and Working with Children’s Check for all household members aged 18 years and over.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive environment catering to all children’s needs.
